Greetings from the Ohio Chinese American Association!

Dear Members and Friends,

As we come together to celebrate July 4th, we commemorate the ideals of freedom, unity, and resilience that define the spirit of America. On this occasion, we also take pride in recognizing the rich contributions and cultural heritage of Chinese Americans in Ohio.

The Ohio Chinese American community is a vibrant mosaic of traditions, talents, and achievements that enrich our state's cultural tapestry. From business leaders driving innovation to educators nurturing future generations, Chinese Americans play integral roles in shaping our communities and economy. This July 4th, we honor the enduring contributions of Chinese Americans throughout history. From the early immigrants who contributed to building the nation's infrastructure to the artists and scientists who have made significant advancements, we celebrate their achievements and resilience in the face of challenges.

While celebrating our successes, we also acknowledge the challenges that our community continues to confront, including issues of representation, equity, and cultural understanding. Together, we stand united in advocating for justice, equality, and opportunities for all.

On June 27, we sent a delegation to the 2024 Chinese American Convention hosted by our national partner, United Chinese Americans. We listened to great speakers and discussed with fellow community leaders and advocates on a variety of topics including civic engagement, social justice, mental health, community service and career development. Chinese American communities across the country are coming together to make our voice heard and contribute to the freedom, liberty and prosperity of this country. The Ohio Chinese American Association and Asian American Coalition of Ohio were recognized as valued community partner organizations. Your active participation and support are vital to make this possible.
