Ways to Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., including his dream that America could one day live up to its creed that all people are created equal, and his enduring legacy of service. We encourage all Ohioans of Asian Pacific descent to set aside time today for service to the community in honor of Dr. King’s legacy and continue to make the Buckeye State a wonderful place to live in.

Some ideas of providing service to the community include:

Volunteer at local food pantries, food bank, and homeless shelters

Visit senior centers to help with chores and other needs

Send postcards to service members of the military and veterans

Care for animals at local animal shelters

Donate blood at a local Red Cross Blood Donation Center

Best,
